چکیده
Objectives: Researchers have reported different results regarding the association between Hashimoto’s disease and papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). Some believe that coexistence of these diseases can lead to fewer tumor invasion recurrence rates. This study evaluated clinico-pathological features survival time PTC in patients with without thyroiditis. Materials Methods: In this cross-sectional study, medical records 251 participants who underwent total or subtotal thyroidectomy due from 2012 2019 were reviewed. The participants, such as age, gender, stage, size, lymph node involvement, metastasis, capsular invasion, single multi-focal status, recorded their pathology report compared two groups Results: From 92 (36.6%) had thyroiditis, whereas 159 (63.4%) did not show any signs disease. Fifteen Hashimoto group 46 non-Hashimoto a recurrence. Although there no significant differences term rate (P = 0.08), mean was significantly difference (69.03 58.78, respectively; P 0.038) Conclusions: Results revealed thyroiditis could increase PTC.

Concurrence of Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma and Hürthle Cell Carcinoma in an Iranian Woman with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis
The most usual form of the endocrine carcinoma is thyroid cancer (TC). In addition to papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), recent studies revealed incidence of RET/PTC rearrangement in other tumors, like Hürthle cell carcinoma (HCC) and even in non-carcinomatous disorders like Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Here, we present a case with concurrence of papillary thyroid carcinoma and Hürthle cell carcino...

Lymphocytic thyroiditis and hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT) are the two main forms of autoimmune thyroiditis among which the latter is most frequent. A vast majority of cases of papillary carcinoma and primary thyroid lymphoma (PTL) arise in the setting of HT. A case of 32‐year‐old female who presented with thyroid enlargement, post‐thyroidectomy showed hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT) with coexistent...

Although much is known about its epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical, and biological behavior, the only documented risk factor for PTC is the ionizing radiation exposure.
